The standard Woodinville Bourbon already sports a sweet fruity flavor profile, so the addition of port cask finishing nicely complements it. In fact it helps introduce a darker fruit element to the whiskey that adds a lot of dimension to the sip. Unfortunately the standard Woodinville finish was already dry and the additional finishing time only added to its dry aftertaste.
