Old Dominick has been exploring their creative side thanks to their “Lab.” With All the Cookies, Master Distiller Alex Castle partnered with local Meddlesome Brewery to finish a 4 year old bourbon in the brewery’s used All the Cookies Ale casks.

Nailing beer finished whiskey is a devilish task. Where whiskey and wine tend to play nice with each other, beer with all of its many styles and types, can contrast whiskey rather harshly at times. The pairing with All the Cookies Ale turned out to be a beneficial one. The oatmeal raisin cookie beer imparted exactly those flavor notes into the bourbon creating a perfect holiday finished whiskey. With an ample amount of sweetness against a strong undercurrent of raisins, blackcurrant, fig, and plum, Old Dominick's All the Cookies is a beer finished whiskey that pulls off its concept in spades.
