With a focus on various chocolate and pepper notes, Lost Lantern 2026 Single Cask #6: Fiddler Soloist Georgia Bourbon’s 6 grain mashbill results in an unapologetically unique flavor profile.

Lost Lantern’s Spring 2026 Collection explores the difference between high proof and low proof whiskeys, showcasing both the intensity of cask strength whiskeys and the balance and approachability of lower proof ones. The collection includes the new Far-Flung Bourbon 100 Proof alongside a stronger cask strength version, plus eight single casks paired by proof from distilleries across the U.S - some of which have never been featured by Lost Lantern before.

Lost Lantern 2026 Single Cask #6 is part of the company’s High-Low Southern Bourbon Pairing. Even though the bourbon’s proof is 129.9, it acts as the lower proof bottle of the pairing, with the other, Lost Lantern 2026 Single Cask #5: Dread River Distilling Co. Alabama Bourbon, coming in at 141.8 proof. The company states that “These two Southern bourbons reflect intensity and heat in different ways.”

Located in Atlanta, Georgia, ASW Distillery is short for “American Spirit Whiskey.” Founded in 2016, ASW Distillery is known for their flagship line, Fiddler Whiskey, which is named after the company's Master Distiller, Justin Manglitz, who is an old-time string music fiddler. This is the first time that Lost Lantern has released a bourbon from ASW Distillery.

The bourbon focuses on the core flavors of various chocolates and peppers throughout the sip. It opens with a really satisfying aroma that hones in on scents of chocolate, rich charred oak, and dried bell pepper. The chocolate and pepper reappear at the midpoint in the form of Mexican chocolate and roasted poblano peppers, and combine with aged oak and bold rye spice. The dense palate transitions to a more focused ending, zeroing in on notes of Mexican chocolate, ancho pepper, and chewy oak.

Utilizing four standard grains plus two unique ones may make you wonder what ASW was thinking. The good news is that this combination works, and works really well. The end result is an incredibly rich, dense bourbon that is full of flavor and unapologetically unique. If you’re a fan of chocolate and peppers, you’ll be right at home with Lost Lantern 2026 Single Cask #6: Fiddler Soloist Georgia Bourbon.

Lost Lantern 2026 Single Cask #6: Fiddler Soloist Georgia Straight Bourbon is a 146 bottle release.
