Bradshaw Single Barrel Bourbon is an improvement over the company’s previous small batch release, thanks to an additional 4 years of aging, resulting in a bourbon that whiskey drinkers and especially Terry Bradshaw fans will find a lot more to enjoy.
Terry Bradshaw had one of the most iconic and memorable careers in the history of professional football. Drafted number one overall in 1970, Bradshaw played for 14 seasons as the quarterback for the Pittsburgh Steelers. He led the team to win four Super Bowls over the span of his career.
Bradshaw Bourbon is a collaboration between Bradshaw and Silver Screen Bottling Company, which is known for bottling several celebrity liquors. The companies are expanding beyond their initial offering of a 2 year old bourbon and 2 year old rye, both sourced from Green River Distilling Co. For 2026, the company announced two new releases: a 6 year old single barrel sourced again from Green River Distilling Co., and a 12 year old bourbon sourced from an undisclosed Kentucky distillery.
Bradshaw Single Barrel Bourbon Barrel #026 opens with a satisfying aroma. Roasted mixed nuts lead to a warm, savory-sweet scent that is rich and dynamic. More traditional scents follow, including delicate vanilla wafer, toasted cinnamon, earthy tobacco, and even a touch of floralness at the tail end. The prominent but rounded vanilla undertones of cinnamon pie follow, creating a rich bed for Green River’s traditional notes of brown sugar, vanilla, and seasoned oak to reside. The finish follows with more brown sugar, rye grain, a wide range of baking spices, and black pepper. Notably, there is also a light and fleeting oak astringency at the very end.
Sourcing their bourbon from Green River Distilling brings a certain amount of familiarity. Though the market is yet to be flooded with 6 year old Green River bourbon, their bourbon, like any distillery, delivers a particular flavor profile. In Green River’s case, it is, namely, brown sugar above all else, and that is on display with this Bradshaw Single Barrel Bourbon. Beyond this, the bourbon features decent depth and overall body, though it’s not overly complex in any part of its sip. Its $65 price point also doesn’t match what Green River can offer, but it isn’t that far off. For fans of Terry Bradshaw, the 6 year single barrel offers a big improvement over previous younger releases, but you’ll be well advised to keep expectations in check. Those looking for a considerable improvement in quality should look to the company’s 12 year release.
The bourbon in review is from barrel #026.
