Press Release

New York - July 15, 2025: US-based barrel ownership company Barrel Global is excited to launch a limited offering of new-fill bottled-in-bond barrels from New Riff Distillery. This is the first-of-its-kind release from this cult favorite Kentucky distillery. Barrel Global is offering full, New Riff-distilled, named single barrels to its customers for purchase on their marketplace for $2,500, with discounts available for a purchase of two or more.

“New Riff has always been one of my favorite bourbon brands, so I’m thrilled that Barrel Global has partnered with the brand to offer this first-of-its-kind batch of single barrels distilled at the New Riff Distillery. We always put our customers first and love to bring them fantastic new offerings to add to their collection. This is a rare chance to purchase one of these exclusive new fill barrels,” says Barrel Global Founder George Koutsakis. “This collaboration offers collectors and connoisseurs the chance to own a personalized barrel from one of the industry’s most respected whiskey producers.”

Through this exciting 2025 collaboration, Barrel Global is offering limited new-fill barrels available for private aging, resale, gifting, or bottling under your own label with distillery naming rights. All with a spirit that ages, appreciates, and tells a story.

As a bottled-in-bond bourbon, customers have complete origin-to-barrel transparency with a whiskey built for long aging. The whiskey is specifically non-chill filtered to preserve the spirit's natural oils and flavor compounds. This approach results in a richer, more complex mouthfeel, allowing the full character of the whiskey to shine through. The mashbill of each bottled-in-bond bourbon is composed of 60% corn, 30% rye, and 10% malted barley.

How Barrel Global Works:

Through its online portal, consumers schedule an intake call with a representative from the company’s experts to request a barrel reservation. Like other private barrel programs, consumers may request samples from various barrels to truly personalize their selection. Upon payment, legal certification is issued to the buyer conveying full barrel rights to the purchaser. During the maturation process, barrels are stored in a secure, experiential warehouse in Kentucky at an annual cost of $100 per year, per barrel.

Owning a barrel puts the consumer in complete control of when it’s reached peak maturation. Along the way, owners may schedule visits to the warehouse to check on their barrel – and pull samples to check on its taste profile and color.

At the bottling stage, Barrel Global facilitates the design, packaging, and legally compliant shipping of bottles. For buyers looking to sell bottles commercially, Barrel Global helps with obtaining a COLA (certification/exemption of label/bottle approval) and complying with the three-tier system – both legal requirements of buying and selling spirits in the U.S. market. Additionally, at any point of barrel ownership, the customer may resell the barrel to another interested party.
