Booker’s Bourbon 2025-03 “Jerry’s Batch” is on point for the brand, delivering a familiar, straightforward flavor profile with plenty of oompf.
The third Booker’s release of 2025, “Jerry’s Batch” is named in honor of Jerry Dalton, former master distiller who served from 1998-2007 and is the only master distiller at Beam who has not been part of the Noe family. The release consists of barrels that were filled on seven different production dates and aged in nine different warehouses each accounting for 11.1% of the blend. It clocks in near the midpoint of age and proof range for the brand, which generally ranges from 6-8 years old with proofs from around 120-130.
While each batch of Booker’s Bourbon is different, Beam is markedly consistent with the underlying flavor profiles. Cinnamon, nuts, and quintessential caramel, vanilla, and oak typically form the bourbon’s core, and Booker’s Bourbon 2025-03 “Jerry’s Batch” embodies that mantra to a T. Cinnamon may be slightly amplified with this release, and while the nose and palate are good, the finish is where the bourbon really comes alive. Baking spices, charred and aged oak, and brown sugar form the base of the finish, with light tobacco and lingering rye spice driving it home.
Booker’s Bourbon 2025-03 “Jerry’s Batch” is on point, delivering a solid bourbon that meets the typical level of quality expected from the brand.
