Wigle Whiskey Most Awarded Craft Distillery in US for 5th Year at Annual Competition

Wigle Whiskey took home 20 awards, more than any other distillery in the US, at Monday evening’s virtual American Craft Spirits Association Awards Ceremony. The Pittsburgh Distillery’s Saffron Amaro was awarded Best in Class and given a gold medal. Its Single Barrel Straight Rye and Port Rye Whiskeys also took home gold medals. This marks the 5th year that Wigle has been the most awarded craft whiskey distillery by the ACSA.

“The folks at Wigle in Pittsburgh are killing it! This has to be rigged,” said Awards Ceremony Emcee Dan Garrison. “Never, they just make a lot of really good, inventive spirits,” replied Maggie Campbell, ACSA Board member who administers the triple blind competition.

In addition the Distillery won silver and bronze medals for its Bottled in Bond Rye Whiskey, Straight Bourbon Whiskey, Bourbon Finished in Madeira Barrels, Oaxaca Rye Whiskey, Gin, Landlocked Rum, Landlocked Spiced & Oaked, Absent Minded Absinthe, Eau de Pickle, Lemoncello, Rhubarb Liqueur, Cinnamon Whiskey, Straight Wheat Whiskey, Roasty Straight Malt Whiskey, and Single Barrel Wheat Whiskey.

The Distillery is offering discounted bundles of its award winners, which customers can order online through wiglewhiskey.com to be picked up at their Strip District Distillery or shipped to their Pennsylvania or DC addresses.

The Distillery will also host a celebration of its award winning spirits for customers to sample once its sites open back up to the public.
