Press Release

LOUISVILLE, KY (August 29, 2025) – The WoodWork Collective and David Jennings, spirits  author and founder of Rare Bird 101, are proud to announce the continuation of Raconteur Rye with a special dual release, “Gemini.” These two unique small-batch, barrel-proof rye whiskeys will  be available in limited quantities September 2025 at a suggested retail price of $129.99.

In a nod to the first and second batches of Raconteur Rye, eight-year-old Indiana 95/5 rye whiskey  was meticulously finished in Mizunara oak, 48-month cured & toasted American oak, and ex Indiana  51% rye barrels to create “Gemini I.” Its companion release, “Gemini II,” was crafted from eight year-old Kentucky 95/5 rye finished solely in Mizunara, showcasing a similar, yet darker profile than the previous Kentucky distilled Raconteur Rye, “Miz Kiss.”

“We had every intention of releasing two independent Raconteur Rye batches spaced apart,” said  Jennings. “The two projects just happened to reach the flavor profiles we were aiming for within a  few weeks of one another.” After much consideration, Jennings and the WoodWork Collective’s  James Symons decided a coinciding release would provide an opportunity for whiskey enthusiasts to  compare two Mizunara finished rye whiskeys of the same age and mash bill from different states. A  dual release would also give discerning consumers a choice based on personal preference.

Raconteur Rye “Gemini I” and “Gemini II” are limited to approximately 1,100 bottles each (750ml)  and will be available at select online retailers in early September. For additional information visit RaconteurRye.com. Please drink responsibly.
