Press Release

Hye, Texas (July 29, 2025)—What began as the annual Garrison Brothers Guadalupe Bourbon release event became a rally for flood recovery. On Saturday, July 12, Garrison Brothers Distillery hosted “Guadalupe Relief Day”, dedicating $50 from Guadalupe Cask Strength bottle sale as well as profits from The Whiskey Shack and gift-shop merchandise sold that day to help families and businesses devastated by the 4th of July weekend flash floods that swept through Kerr, Bandera, and Gillespie Counties. The Garrison Brothers team also established an online donations page to gather funds from those far and near that could not attend the event. Today, the distillery’s 501(c)(3) nonprofit Good Bourbon for a Good Cause delivered an initial $50,000 contribution—generated by these donations—to the Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country’s Kerr County Flood Relief Fund. In a show of local solidarity, Happy State Bank (Fredericksburg) pledged to match that check dollar-for-dollar, instantly doubling the impact to $100,000.

“Texans look after Texans,” said Garrison Brothers co-founder, Nancy Garrison. “Our team quickly decided to earmark a $50 donation on every Cask-Strength Guadalupe Single Barrel that we sold on July 12 as well as donate 100% of our profits that day from gift shop merchandise and The Whiskey Shack sales to help flood victims. Today’s check—and Happy State Bank’s 100% match—proves good bourbon really can change the world.”

On July 7, Garrison Brothers set up the online link to collect donations for flood victims with the first $10,000 collected in donations  matched by private donors. The donation link for Hill Country Strong established by the Garrison Brothers team will stay live, collecting funds through October 1. All funds raised will be donated to Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country’s Kerr County Flood Relief Fund.

In 2020, the co-founders of Garrison Brothers established Good Bourbon For A Good Cause, a 501c3 non-profit that has raised over $2 Million dollars to date to help local causes in the communities of Blanco and Gillespie counties of Texas, causes that support veterans and their families, the hospitality community, and other organizations that help support preserve and restore beautiful Texas lands and landmarks.
