Hye, Texas (March 10, 2026) – Garrison Brothers Distillery, the first and oldest legal whiskey distillery in Texas, and the first distillery outside of Kentucky to produce authentic, handcrafted, corn-to-cork bourbon whiskey is proud to announce the 2026 launch date and details for its award-winning Lady Bird Texas Straight Bourbon Whiskey Infused with Honey & Finished in Cognac Casks. First released in 2023 as a tribute to nature and elegance, this limited expression is inspired by the legacy of its namesake, Lady Bird Johnson, and honors her commitment to the environment and Texas native wildflowers. Nationwide, 7,000 bottles of 2026 Lady Bird will be released alongside an additional limited number of bottles of Lady Bird Cask Strength Single Barrel.

On Saturday April 4, the first 2,000 bottles of the 2026 Lady Bird will be available, first come first served at the distillery starting at 8AM. A limited number of bottles of Lady Bird Cask Strength Single Barrel bottles will also be available at the distillery release event on that Saturday in Hye, Texas. Since 2023, Garrison Brothers has donated $5 for every bottle of Lady Bird bourbon sold to the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center, located in Austin, Texas. The Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center, part of The University of Texas at Austin, is a Texas nonprofit dedicated to preserving the native plants of North America and inspiring an appreciation for nature’s awe-inspiring beauty. To date, Garrison Brothers Lady Bird Bourbon has helped raise more than $100,000 to support the Center and its programs. The donation is one of the meaningful ways Garrison Brothers lives out the words embossed on the back of every bottle; Good Bourbon Can Change The World.

Garrison Brothers Lady Bird Texas Straight Bourbon Whiskey infused with honey and finished in cognac casks, starts its life as Small Batch that is aged for 4 years in new white American oak barrels before being infused with Burleson's Texas Wildflower Honey for an additional 8-9 months, creating the exquisite cask strength HoneyDew. The bourbon is then transferred into French Cognac XO casks to mature for an additional 3 years. 2026 Lady Bird is bottled at 114 proof, and each bottle is hand-sealed with a regal Prairie Purple wax.

Donnis Todd, Master Distiller at Garrison Brothers Distillery, describes Lady Bird bourbon as “a harmonious marriage of honey and cognac flavors.” The tasting experience begins with the aroma of freshly cut grass and sweet Texas honey, layered with subtle hints of black cocoa waffle cone and honey wafers. On the palate, warm buckwheat pancakes and dark chocolate-covered cherries mingle with malted milk balls, while the finish reveals notes of cognac-soaked cherries, dried figs, and plums. This intricate profile delivers both richness and elegance, capturing the essence of wildflower honey and the refined depth of cognac maturation.

The creation of Lady Bird is a testament to the dedication and passion of Garrison Brothers co-founder, Nancy Garrison, and Master Distiller Donnis Todd. Nancy, a former board member and active donor, remains very involved with the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center.

After the April 4 distillery release event, the remaining bottles of 2026 Lady Bird and Lady Bird Cask Strength will be available at select retail, restaurant and bar accounts nationwide beginning in May 2026.
